Reverend Peter Ledic, California
Pastor Peter Ledic graduated from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois, in 1978 and from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1982. He is married to Jean Beth (nee Trempala) and they celebrated their 44th anniversary in 2022. They have 3 sons and 7 grandchildren. Pastor Ledic has served three Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations in his ministry. Christ Lutheran, Harrow, Ontario (1982-87), Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur, Indiana (1987-99) and Messiah Lutheran Church, Danville, California (1999-2022). As of July 11, 2022, he retired from the pulpit and is now living in El Dorado Hills, California. Peter has served in many additional capacities for the greater Lutheran Church: as an LCMS Circuit Counselor twice; Celebrant, Confessor and guest lecturer at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne; Essayist at the Montana District Convention; Essayist at the Wyoming District Pastors Conference; Pastoral Advisor for the local Lutherans for Life Chapter in Decatur, Indiana; Pastoral Coordinator for weekly Divine Services at Woodcrest Nursing Home, Decatur, Indiana; Steering Committee of what eventually would be known as Doxology; Chaplain at Doxology retreats; Presenter and Lecturer at Higher Things Conferences; Lectionary Committee Member (Series A) for the Lutheran Service Book hymnal; Pastoral Advisor to LCMS World Relief and Human Care especially in relationship to the works of mercy being done by the Lutheran Church in Latvia; Lecturer in Siberia as a guest of the Siberian Evangelical Lutheran Church; Doctrinal reviewer and editor for Concordia Publishing House publications; Guest Lecturer at Camp Arcadia in Michigan; Men’s and Women’s Retreat Leader at St John Lutheran Church, Wheaton, IL.
